Nature of the beast

It's depressing learning about how people take care of animals by beating them or better yet, starving them until they're more bone then flesh and unfortunately, adding to all of this is much more worse, the fact that we abuse nature like a cat does a scratching post, nature is our friend not our enemy.

A tree is similar to a human being. It has life but also an important contribution to the world we live upon. People don't know that carving their childhood crush's name with a heart around it into a tree actually does more harm then good. The bark of a tree is like the outer layer of skin on a human being and it is meant to protect what's inside the body from becoming exposed to dangers. If you carve too deep into the bark of a tree, you will begin to end the life of something so precious and valuable.

The inside of a tree has layers like organs of a human being. Once you cut through the bark, you'll begin to enter the first vital organ of the tree that helps to send food down to the tree's trunk and up to its leaves then from there on to different organs like the sapwood and heartwood. The sapwood is responsible for carrying up hundreds of gallons of water per day in oder to feed branches and leaves of the tree and, the heartwood is like the heart of the human which allows the tree to grow tall and strong enough to hold its branches. Also, the leaves of the tree which breathes "clean oxygen" into our atmosphere, this ability aids the survival of human, plant, and animal life.

So remember the next time you think of pulling a leaf off a branch, chopping down a tree, or carving your memories into its skin like a tattoo, love that tree and explore your true intentions. Inspire others to join in the preservation of nature's existence, its beauty, but most of all, its gentle and generous spirit.
